Japan IR Website Disclosures is everything a Japanese company lists on its own investor-relations website that is not a transcript or a slide deck: news releases, dividend announcements, forecast revisions, links to its statutory filings, and named kinds such as the earnings release (決算短信) as posted on the company site — often in English, which the exchange feed does not carry — and AGM notices and resolutions.

What you can use Japan IR website disclosures for

Read a Japanese earnings release in English when the company publishes one. Get the AGM notice with the agenda and director slate, and the notice of what the meeting resolved. See when a company says it will report results or hold a briefing. Follow press releases and dividend announcements from the company’s own site.

Subtypes

Named kinds: Any other subtype is the website’s own section passed through as found — for example press_release, earnings, filing, dividend or other. counts.by_subtype lists the ones this company has, so you can see what exists before filtering. What a row is was decided from its title, not from the section of the website it was listed under; site_type keeps the section the site used. Japan IR website coverage

Coverage is a fixed set of about 250 Japanese companies whose investor-relations websites are read continuously — not the whole market. coverage.companies_covered gives the current count; coverage.available_from and available_to give the date range for the company you asked about. History reaches the late 1990s where a site keeps an archive, and only recent years for most.
company.in_ir_web_universe: false means FocusAlpha does not read that company’s investor-relations website. It never means the company published nothing.
The endpoint covers Japanese companies only: any other company returns 404. If the website source cannot be read, the endpoint returns 503 rather than an empty list.

Key Japan IR website disclosure fields

  • title and title_language (en or ja) — as the site wrote it, untranslated.
  • kind is ir_web_disclosure; subtype is a named kind or the site’s section.
  • page_url is the page the entry was found on; media_urls are the linked files.
  • documents — each linked document’s format (pdf or html), url and chars. has_text says whether any text was extracted; about 30% of website rows have none, which means “not extracted”, not “empty”.
The response also carries company (company_id, ir_site_tickers, in_ir_web_universe) and counts: matched, in_this_tool, by_subtype, undated_excluded_by_date_filter and truncated_at_source.

Japan IR website date convention

Only a real calendar day becomes date; date_status is date, datetime, period_label (a fiscal period such as 2012-FY, never turned into a day), ambiguous (such as 01/03/19, not guessed), invalid or missing, and date_as_written keeps the original. Rows come newest first — dated rows, then period-labelled rows, then undated rows. date_gte and date_lte apply to date only, and rows without one are counted in counts.undated_excluded_by_date_filter.
