Taiwan Presentation Decks serves the text of the slides a Taiwan-listed company uploaded to MOPS, the Market Observation Post System, for its 法人說明會 (institutional investor conferences). Each row is one file, newest first, so you can read, quote and compare the slides rather than only link to them. Each file lists every conference that showed it, because a results deck is usually shown again at several brokers’ forums. MCP tool: get_taiwan_presentation_deck — see Connect via MCP.

What you can use Taiwan presentation decks for

Read the outlook slide from a Taiwanese company’s latest results conference. Find every deck that mentions a phrase, such as a product, a customer segment or a capex figure. Compare how a company described the same topic across quarters. See which broker forums showed a given results deck.

Slides and conferences

The schedule of conferences, with links to the slides and recordings for every Taiwan-listed company since 2005, is Taiwan Investor Conferences. This page is the text behind those slide links, for a narrower set of companies. Each deck lists the conferences that showed it in conferences, with each conference’s conference_id, conference_date, conference_date_end, place and summary. The conference_id is the same identifier Taiwan Investor Conferences uses, so the two join. file_date is the date in the uploaded file’s name. A results deck is usually first shown at the company’s own results conference on that date, then again at later broker forums.

Languages

language is zh for the Chinese file (MOPS names it …M001) and en for the English file (…E001). A company often uploads both, as two separate rows. Pass language to keep one.

Taiwan presentation deck coverage

Coverage is about the 100 largest Taiwan companies by market cap, from 2019, updated daily as those companies upload new files. It is not the whole market.
in_scope: false means FocusAlpha has no slide text for that company yet: it is outside the scope, or its decks are still being read. It never means the company has no slides. Its slide links are in Taiwan Investor Conferences.
A row whose status is not ok says why it has no text, for example scanned slides, a file MOPS failed to serve, or a legacy .ppt file.

Key Taiwan presentation deck fields

  • company_id, local_security_code, market (twse or tpex) and company_name (as filed, in Chinese) identify the company.
  • file_name, language, file_date, url and format describe the file. url points to the file on MOPS.
  • status, n_pages and n_chars describe the extracted text.
  • conferences lists every conference that showed the file.

Taiwan presentation deck text

Pass include_text=true to add each deck’s extracted text, capped at max_chars per deck, with text_truncated saying whether it was cut. Pages are marked --- page N ---. Text is extracted from slides, so tables and charts lose their layout: quote it, but take reported figures from Taiwan Financials and Taiwan Monthly Revenue. q matches the slide text, case-insensitively, and works with or without include_text.
