What You Can Use Company Facts For
Confirm that a ticker resolves to the issuer you expect before running a larger query. Map a ticker to a CIK for the SEC-scoped endpoints. Check that a company is present in the SEC datasets at all.Company Facts Coverage
Coverage is SEC filers. Two free discovery endpoints enumerate it: one lists every covered ticker, the other every covered CIK, zero-padded to ten characters. Both cost no credits. A company absent from these lists files nothing with the SEC that FocusAlpha holds, so every SEC-scoped dataset will be empty for it regardless of how it is queried. That is a different fact from the company not existing — see the company registry, which covers roughly 25,000 companies across 82 countries, most of which are not SEC filers.Key Company Facts Fields
Rows carry the issuer’s name, its ticker, its CIK and the related filing metadata the SEC publishes for it.Company Facts Sources
Facts are as filed with the SEC. Nothing is enriched from another source, and nothing is inferred.Query Company Facts
